Music in the Mountains is Big Sky, Montana’s premier free summer concert series. Produced by the Arts Council of Big Sky, the event takes place every Thursday evening from late June through early September at Center Stage in Len Hill Park, located in the heart of Big Sky Town Center.

Kate serves as the Digital Media Coordinator for the Arts Council of Big Sky, a role she stepped into after starting as a digital media intern in 2023. Each summer, she captures Music in the Mountains in Big Sky—a free weekly concert series hosted at Len Hill Park that brings the community together through live music.

She has photographed performances by Futurebirds, Jesse Daniel, Pinky and the Floyd, John 'Papa' Gros, Yarn, The Tiny Band, moe., The Brothers Comatose, Jamie McLean Band, The Nude Party, Zach Person, Big Richard, Hot Buttered Rum, and Hell's Belles — along with the openers who help shape each night. This is only a few she has shot over 20 shows.

Her work captures not just the artists, but the energy of a community coming together through music in the mountains.
